NATURE OF GOD
There is one living and true God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; co-equal and co-eternal and equal in power and glory. (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:8 and 48:16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 10:30; Hebrews 1:3)
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died upon the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood alone. He physically arose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, forever defeating death. He is now at the right hand of God the Father as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace. (Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2, 8:58 and 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 1:2; Revelation 1:8)
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26 and 15:13,16; Hebrews 9:14)
THE BIBLE
The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were inspired (breathed-out) by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation upon which this church operates and is the basis for which this church is governed. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4 and 1:21)
SIN AND SALVATION
Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God: he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. The destiny of the unrepentant and unbelieving is existence forever in conscious torment in hell; and that of the believer, in everlasting joy in heaven. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service.(Acts 8:15-17; Ephesians 2:1-3 and 8-9; Romans 3:23 and 5:8; Titus 3:5)
THE CHURCH
The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together to glorify God through worship, edification through the Word of God, prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:15-16; Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
HEAVEN AND HELL
There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life in a literal heaven; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment in a literal hell. (Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:3, 5:22, 18:9 and 25:31-34; Mark 9:42-49; Luke 12:5; John 3:18; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Revelation 14:10-11 and 20:11-15)
