The last month of 2010 is "in the books." How did it go? Here is a reminder of our check-in questions:
1. Did you spend time with God every day?
2. What did God say/do in your heart in that time?
Looking forward to praising God for what He is doing in our lives!
This month was really tough for a number of reasons. Partly the craziness of this time of year. But overall, I felt like I really had to battle distractions especially hard to stay focused on spending time with God.
ReplyDelete1. Yes, I did spend time every day (though I did not always keep my personal goal).
2. One lesson in particular that stands out is how He has been helping me to love Him more. What I didn't expect was that He has done this by showing me how much sin I have been forgiven of ("whoever is forgiven much loves much"). painful at first, but a beautiful end result.
1. Yes, but not near as much one-on-one as I hoped for.
ReplyDelete2. a) People are attracted to those who emanate the joy of the Lord, even, or especially, in very trying times. b) I've learned that when circumstances are beyond my control, look for God at work...let the chips fall where they may because God is in charge of those chips.
1. No. There were a few days that I missed.
ReplyDelete2. God is really impressing upon me to get serious about reading my Bible and prayer daily. One thought that comes to mind is, "Ryan, if you know you can't go without physical food, why do you think you can go without spiritual food?"
Job 23:12 - "I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my portion of food."
