Paul Yanchek is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. Saved in 1988, he immediately began to seek ways to glorify God using the gifts God had given him from teaching, preaching and to administrative roles in various ministries. He graduated from Malone University with a B.A. in Christian Ministries with a concentration in Christian Education and an emphasis in communications. During this time, he did an internship at The Chapel in North Canton. He then went on to graduate from Ashland Theoligical Seminary with an M.Div. in Pastoral Ministry with a concentration in Homiletics.
From 1997 - 2000, he served as the pastor of Black River Church of the Brethren outside of Lodi, Ohio. He currently serves as the pastor of Lighthouse Alliance Church in Rocky River, Ohio, where he has been since 2000.
He served as an adjunct faculty member for the Moody Bible Institute's Ohio extension from 2005 - 2009. He has also served as a spiritual director for Tres Dias Cleveland since 2004. He is a 2007 graduate of the Way of the Master School of Biblical Evangelism and a 2009 graduate of the Living Waters Ambassadors' Academy.
He began hosting the ABIDE! Radio podcast in January 2009, and the ABIDE! TV YouTube channel in the spring of 2010. He has been interviewed on "Living the Word" with Glenn Mertz on 1220 AM WHKW, as well as on WCRF 103.3 FM. He was also a special one-time guest host for Ambassadors' Alliance Radio.
Paul is passionate about teaching the Bible verse-by-verse, encouraging believers to walk with God daily, and taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets.
He is working to finish his first book, The Intentional Spiritual Life. He has also begun writing a new believer's Bible study called, Cultivate.
He was motivated to start the aspects of ABIDE! Ministries in reponse to the lack of devotional encouragement from solid, evangelical sources. He found that almost all the resources came from liberal ministries which incorporated practices that too closely resembled New Age behaviors. It is his desire to approach devotional living from a conservative Biblical perspective.
